What is the CrossFit Open?
Over the last month you’ve probably been hearing everyone chatting about the CrossFit Open which begin February 23. If you are new to CrossFit you might not know what it is and why you should participate in it, even if you are brand new to CrossFit. We sat down longtime CrossFit member Tim Tuley to get his perspective on the open.
What is the CrossFit Open?
The Open is the first round of competition to enter the CrossFit Games–aka, the Super Bowl of CrossFit. For five weeks thousands of athletes from around the world submit scores for weekly WODs designed by CrossFit Headquarters.

Now Offering Yoga
We are excited to announce we now offer Yoga as part of our membership. This is a new beginning for Brodie Park CrossFit and our members. Yoga will enable us to be more well rounded athletes. Not only will we benefit from increased flexibility but also from a boost in energy, weight reduction, and improved athletic performance. Classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm. Be sure to bring your yoga mat. Yoga is included in our membership package or can be purchased for $10 a class.
Brodie Park CrossFit will have all of our regular hours during the Christmas and New Year break. Santa doesn’t take time off so neither do we. Come in and join us for all the CrossFit merriment.
Support Coach Jami
With the permission from Jami, I’m starting this fundraiser to assist our Coach and friend who has suffered significant injury to her face The money raised will be used to help provide medical care for her and help offset her emergency room visit and the continued care under her doctors and surgeon. Our class hours for Thanksgiving 2016 are as follows:
5:30am through 6:45pm Scheduled
7:30pm – Cancelled
Special 8:00am class. All other classes cancelled *BUT* if you want to have a class post, message, email, text, carrier pigeon me and if we have a couple people interested we will schedule a class!
5:30am – Cancelled
6:15am – Scheduled
Noon – Scheduled
Normal schedule resumes. Mobility this week will focus on hamstrings and glutes!
